Wavve Finds Its Next Chapter

Wavve, a Calm Capital portfolio company, has joined Disctopia — a podcast hosting and streaming platform committed to supporting independent creators.

This is a meaningful transition for Wavve and a promising step forward for the creator economy.

Over several years, we watched Wavve help thousands of podcasters and audio creators transform their content into social-ready video clips and transcripts. The platform became essential infrastructure for creators promoting their work across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn. Simple tools that solved real problems.

This transition makes sense. Disctopia operates with principles we recognize: unlimited hosting, creator ownership, and genuine support for independent voices. Rather than forcing creators to juggle multiple platforms, the combined offering provides hosting, marketing, and distribution in one place. With this acquisition, Wavve becomes part of the Disctopia platform — giving users access to a unified dashboard where they can host, market, and promote their shows without jumping between tools.

As Disctopia’s CEO Patrick Hill shared in the official announcement:

“By bringing Wavve into our ecosystem, we’re making it easier than ever for podcasters to market their shows and captivate audiences through engaging video content.”

Calm Capital is proud of what the Wavve team built and grateful to have stewarded the business over the last few years. Disctopia is well-positioned to advance it further, helping more creators grow faster.market smarter.
